Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to patients.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary documentation
- Assist with medical records management, including filing, scanning, and organizing documents
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and schedule follow-up appointments
- Utilize electronic medical record systems such as eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft to update patient information and schedule appointments
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly desirable
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures
- Familiarity with front desk operations, including phone systems and appointment scheduling
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic medical record systems (eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organizational abilities with keen attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
